climate change - part 2

Dear friends,

Further to my post on climate change, I feel its more of a propaganda by the powers with vested interests. On one hand they are probably trying to scuttle our progress and on the other they are trying to dump junk renewable energy projects in the country.

In the name of setting up green projects, restrictions and stringent conditions like importing a particular equipment / technology from 'the' manufacturer to loan from 'the' borrower.

How long can we be taken for a ride?

  1. I suggest that we can make a beginning with schools; this way we can germinate the idea of sustainability/climate change amongst students

    1. Yes, schools could be a good starting point. For this we need to rope in some willing corporates who would be keen on taking such pressing causes ahead.

  2. moot question is who will do it, when we will do it and how it will be done? Any suggestions...

  3. I suggest street plays rather than seminars/conferences would be a better way to spread awareness among the masses. Seminars/conferences are ways to enlighten those who are generally aware.

  4. UN says worst effects of climate change are yet to come. Is it a means to put a lid on developing nations like India? Is it a means to curtail the growth of our country? Per capita emission of western world is far higher than per capita emission of average India. Do we still have reason to believe what UN says? Is it only the duty of developing world to control the emissions?
